Haus Sperre

Haus Sperre means home lockdown in German. You must be wondering where I got this from? Well, I have been learning German for over a month. What's better than learning and exploring a new language when you are at home doing nothing. There are so many online courses available where one can learn their choice of language and Duolingo being the most common platform. Do you like maintaining streaks? Why just snapchat when you can do it on Duolingo too.

With death toll crossing 1000 in India and lock-down being extended there are various activities you can try at home.

How does painting with Bob Ross sound? I am sure you must have heard of him. Pick up your paint brush which has been lying in some drawer for months and start. I've tried it myself and nothing is more fun than painting. When my hand moves over the canvass it's almost like my mind is directing my hand without me, odd perhaps, but that's the way it is. Trying to paint just like Bob Ross was tough, but the moment I grew frustrated, his voice quietly delivered his blessed assurance: "This is your world, your creation."

True crime fans can immerse themselves in mysteries or even start solving them. Reddit allows you to be part of several mystery communities where you can discuss with other members and combine information in order to get to the bottom of old cases like 'JonBenet Ramsey' or 'Tylenol Poisonings'.

You must have been suggested to read a book if you are bored. How about listening to these books. Audible provides you with a wide range of books to listen to. With over 200,000 audio programs from leading audiobook publishers, broadcasters, entertainers, magazine and newspaper publishers and business information providers you will have a great opportunity to learn something new. In response to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, which saw people in several countries confined to their homes, Audible made a large number of children's and classic titles free to access via its website, with no sign-in required.

You have time! Learn editing and filming. It's not too difficult, open imovie and start filming your surroundings or 'day in quarantine life' video. Maybe start a youtube channel or a tik tok account, I'm sure editing will help you alot if you want to become content creators. It is not too bad to learn something out of the box, is it? Also, it saves you money as you don't have to pay someone to edit your stuff.

You can make your own wishlist for life post - lockdown. Three weeks is a long time, but know that this too shall pass. Start thinking and noting down what you want to do once the lockdown is lifted - meeting friends, playing football, watching a movie in theaters, going out for dinner, or just going back to walking in the park! Life may get so busy afterwards that you may not have time to make you wishlist.

Have a pillow fight. Although it may seem rather childish, there's never a boring moment when you are doing stuff with your siblings. It will be so much fun to fight over a silly little thing or brag about how much more you are loved by your parents.

Learn the alphabet(s). Yeah, yeah - we have all known the alphabet since we were four years old. But do you know German alphabet or the Spanish or the Russian alphabet that uses the cyrillic script? NO. You probably don't. So how cool will you be when you bust out the German and Spanish alphabets? You will be cooler than a popsicle in Antarctica.

Invent you own code and write messages to each other. Take the alphabet and transform it into symbols and signs to represent each letter. It's exciting to come up with your own code. I too have been trying it for the few days. Once it is created, you can share it with your friends and family and begin in a coll way to write messages to one another. It will enthralling to translate words into the special code you made.

Don't forget Disney+! When all else fails and you crack on the screen time rules. I know, Netflix and amazon prime is cooler but exploring a new and different platform can be cool too.

When boredom creeps into your day -- don't let it drag you down! Keep you interest levels up by finding a new and silly activity to fill your time. These may be trying times but use it to you highest advantage. Focus all your energy into productivity and you'll be surprised to see how fast this time will pass. Moreover you'll have grown yourself with a new skill up your sleeve!
